HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) rooftop supports are often compromised by structural damages, steel corrosion, incorrect installation, noise and vibrations in addition inadequate designs which do not meet your requirements and increase your projects overall. Engaging with Sikla will solve all these problems, saving you time and money with:
Custom calculations for each individual frame to ensure suitability for the project
Minimal components required to reduce assembly time
No hot works needed, only one type of screw for all connections to solving skills and labour shortages
Reduced lead times with a wide range of Sikla products available off the shelf
All steel products hot-dip galvanised as standard to the C4 level defined in ISO 12944-2 and ISO 1461
Developed in-house by our Engineering teams using Revit to identify where greater support is need. Sikla HVAC support frames are designed using siFramo, Sikla’s heavy-duty modular steel framing system, to evenly distribute weight across a flat or pitched roof to ensure the unit functions to it’s full capacity and can be easily maintained in the future.
Each rooftop support, designed by Sikla, includes a minimum of four components:
Available in F 80 or F 100 depending on the requirements of the plant equipment.
For supports requiring anti-sound vibration, Sikla recommends using F 100.
The only type of screw required to assemble all siFramo connections and requires no hot works to assemble.
A self forming screw which creates an air-tight seal between the thread and surrounding steel.
Available in both F 80 and F100, siFramo beams are welded onto end-plates.
Used as a crossbar and assembled to siFramo beams using 4 FLS screws.

Sikla HVAC Supports

Sikla UK & Ireland Engineers were tasked with evenly distributing 52 tonnes across the roof, while also considering the pitch and fall plus increasing and decreasing leg lengths. The team successfully designed a modular steel support, using siFramo, with 48 500mm x 500 mm Sikla insulated rubber feet. This was particularly impressive as average HVAC support include 6 to 8 feet per frame.
Sales Representative Tony Dooris, the Engineering team and client we were able to ensure loads and forces were evenly spread across the roof while keeping pressure below the allowed figure.
A non-penetrative support using an integrated footplate and permeable rubber mat without fixings.
Combined with Sikla siFramo beam sections, it preserves thermal and waterproofing integrity.
