SBTi
The Sikla Group is committed to protecting the environmental protection and is currently preparing our climate targets as part of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
The Science Based Targets initiative is a globally recognised framework that supports companies in setting emission reduction targets based on the latest scientific understanding of climate change. The aim is to help limit global warming to below 2°C, ideally to 1.5°C.
We are currently developing our targets and preparing to submit them to the initiative. This forms an important part of our sustainability strategy and reflects our clear commitment to a climate-friendly future.
We will keep you informed and share our progress openly.
Environmental actions
Newspaper Forest Campaign 2024
Sikla proudly supported project to plant 30 000 trees as a contribution to local environmental protection. The project took place in the Waldshut area of South Germany, under the motto “Together for the Black Forest.”
In April 2024, ten Sikla employees joined a tree planting campaign in Ühlingen-Birkendorf. As part of the campaign, Sikla donated 850 trees, one for each employee worldwide.
Introduction of waste compactors
Thanks to the initiative of one of our employees, we introduced a new waste compactor to compress our industrial waste into a much smaller volume. As a result, more waste can be transported in a single truckload, which reduces the frequency of trips and unnecessary transport of air.
Wildflower meadow
Our Young Talents took the initiative to create a flower meadow at our Head Office site in Schwenningen, Germany. It is maintained by our Young Talents and promotes insect diversity in the region.
In 2024, more than 55% of the energy consumed across the Sikla Group can from renewable energy sources.
We are also gradually installing solar panels on our own buildings to support the transition to cleaner energy.
Sustainability Policy

Our suppliers are required to receive and sign our Suppliers Code of Conduct. By signing they commit to complying with certain sustainability standards.
We aim to source our goods as close to the market as possible. More than 80% of our products are sourced within Europe, helping minimise transport distances and reduce emissions.
Several of our products can be dismantled and reused. They are designed to last the full lifecycle of the system or buildings in which they are installed and can be recycled once they reach the end of their service life.
Our Supplier Code of Conduct outlines the standards and expectations we uphold across our supply chain to ensure responsible, ethical, and sustainable business practices.
