We achieved the ISO 9001 certification in 1993, making Sikla one of the first companies within our industry to do so.
As quality awareness has evolved, the requirements and new specifications needed have increased. We take this into account by continuously adapting our quality management system to meet the growing and changing standards, and we verify this with the corresponding certifications:
| Certification | Description |
|---|---|
ISO 9001 | ISO 9001 defines the requirements for a quality management system that ensures products and services meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements. Compliance is verified by a certification issued by an independent body. |
UKCA | The UKCA certification ensures Sikla's products are manufactured under a controlled Factory Production Control to conform to BS EN 1090-1 and EN 1090-2. Each product holds a Declaration of Performance and the UKCA mark to assure products are safe, traceable and legally compliant for installation within the United Kingdom. |
CE |
CE certification confirms that Sikla products are produced to EN 1090‑1 standards and are compliant with the Construction Products Regulation. Audited by a Factory Production Control system and support from a approved external Body, the manufacturer issues a Declaration of Performance and CE mark to provide a legal, traceable assurance of safety and performance across the European Economic Area (EEA).
Factory Production Control | The harmonized technical specification EN 1090-1 requires manufacturers of steel and aluminium structures to implement a certified factory production control (FPC) system. This system is essential for affixing the CE mark to the load-bearing components placed on the market. To ensure compliance, the FPC system must be fully operational, certified and continuously monitored by an independent body. |
FM Approvals | FM Approvals are globally recognised certifications that ensures products for fire protection and extinguishing systems meet the highest quality and safety standards. To maintain the FM Approval, regular surveillance audits are conducted at production sites by the certifying body. |
VdS-Approved Products | As a manufacturer of VdS-approved products, Sikla regularly provides evidence that the products quality is maintained to the highest standards. VdS-Zert ensures compliance through regular audits conducted at our production facilities. |
LGA Tested Quality | The “LGA Tested Quality” mark is awarded to products that meet strict standards for usability, safety and clear instructions for use. The mark also confirms that production, factory production control, and the lawful use of the mark are monitored, with regular product testing are carried out for ongoing compliance. |
European Technical Assessment (ETA) | The European Technical Assessment (ETA) is a voluntary technical assessment for construction products and enables them to carry the CE mark. If a harmonized standard (hEN) is not available, a European Assessment Document (EAD) serves as a reference, outlining both manufacturer responsibilities and external monitoring requirements. |
DNV | DNV product verification is crucial for the safe operation of ships, offshore installations and industrial facilities. The type approvals provide assurance for the structural integrity of piping systems substructures and secondary steel components used on ships and other DNV-classified structures. |
RAL | The RAL “Pipe Support” quality mark stands for safety, reliability, and transparency. Mechanical performance is a key factor in planning, installation, and operation of pipe supports. Comprehensive technical regulations ensure quality assurance through a uniformed and traceable evaluation process, making technical data reliable and comparable. Continuous self-monitoring by the manufacturer, combined with independent testing by accredited centres, creates a strong foundation of trust. |
PED | Directive 2014/68/EU stipulates a declaration of conformity in accordance with the assigned bracket class (S1-S3) for pipe brackets. This allows a suitable bracket to be assigned to the respective hazard level. |
Sound Insulation | An effective measure for prevent or reduce sound transmission is by decoupling pipes from the building structure. The approach minimises unwanted noise thus providing a comfortable environment. |
VDE | When using the system to carry cables and wires, it is essential to assess the electrical conductivity of the substructure. All tests are performed in accordance with DIN EN 61537 standards. |
Schock CH | The test ensures that components installed in civil defence structures are shock-resistant. During the experimental shock test, the pipe supports must remain free from mechanical damage or malfunctions. |
